We just finished our spec build in Everett. Here’s the story.
In January 2026, Inspired Homes NW broke ground on a new-construction duplex at 5610 Rockefeller Avenue in Everett. Six months later, on June 25, 2026, both units were complete — framed, sided, roofed, and finished inside with quartz countertops, custom cabinetry, and wide-plank hardwood floors.
This is what a Custom Home Building project with Inspired Homes NW looks like from lot to move-in.
From distressed lot to two finished homes
We bought the original 768 sq ft house on this lot in May 2024 for $276,500. The property had sat vacant with a squatter issue and needed real work. Here’s what we did with it:
- Subdivided the lot into three parcels.
- Renovated the original 1919 house (Unit 1) — new kitchen, plumbing, flooring, and finishes throughout. Listed April 2025, sold in 33 days for $470,000 — 100% of asking price.
- Built a new-construction duplex on the remaining two parcels (Units 2 & 3), broke ground January 21, 2026, finished June 25, 2026.
That’s a full-cycle project — buy, subdivide, renovate, and build new — completed by one crew. Inspired Homes NW handled the construction from groundbreaking through final finishes, using our own field team (Nate McDonald, Ivan Castaneda, Kian Baca) plus trusted subcontractors.

What’s next
We have closed on a new lot in the same Everett neighborhood. The plan: renovate the existing structure on the lot, subdivide it into four parcels, and build three new single-family homes on the three additional lots — the same approach that worked on Rockefeller. This project is in the planning stage, pending subdivision approval, with construction to follow.
July 1, 2026 – Our new project in Everett. A 1,000-square-foot home in need of renovation, with enough room to build three additional homes.
